Robert Kerner, VP Technology, New York Stock Exchange: Bob Kerner serves as the Vice President of Technology for the Global Web Organization within NYSE Euronext, where he has spent the past year building an agile culture within the company, instilling a high-speed, low-drag ethos in software development. Bob hails from AOL, where he built large-scale, high-volume systems as Chief Architect. Prior to this, Bob worked at Lockheed Martin designing state-of-the-art navigation and combat systems for nuclear submarines, a passion of his inherited from his earlier days serving aboard US Navy vessels as a military cryptolinguist. In his time off, Bob enjoys injecting hyphenated buzz-words into every day conversation.

Michael E. Meyers, Entrepreneur and Founder, nowpublic.com: Michael E. Meyers is entrepreneur who has been involved in numerous successful technology startups across a wide range of industries. Most recently, Michael was the co-founder and CTO of NowPublic.com, the first venture backed start-up based on Drupal, that pioneered the concept of Citizen Journalism. In September of 2009 NowPublic.com was acquired by The Clarity Digital Group which owns and operates Examiner.com, a top 100 web site that provides local news and information for over 175 cities in North America. As the CTO of the Clarity Digital Group Michael and his team are migrating the first top 100 web property to Drupal. Michael is an adviser to the board of the Drupal Association, the non for profit organization that provides support and guidance for the Drupal project.

Martin Coady, Director of Technical Strategy, VML: Martin currently serves as the Director of Technical Strategy. He leads a team focused on analyzing the key business and technical issues driving the evolution of digital marketing as well as developing the company’s long range technology strategy. The group is also charged with developing a broader strategic framework around integrating emerging technologies and managing the partners that help us realize our solutions. In addition to these responsibilities Martin heads the VML center of excellence for content management where his responsibilities include consulting with clients on strategic and tactical approaches to delivering content management systems, as well as ensuring best practices are employed on all CMS engagements.

Andrew Hoppin, CIO, NY State Senate: Mr. Hoppin was appointed as the first ever Chief Information Officer for the New York State Senate in February 2009 with a mission to dramatically improve government transparency, citizen participation, and operational efficiency for the Senate through technology. The CIO’s Office works in three main realms: opening up the Senate’s legislative and administrative data for public access (for transparency), overhauling the Senate’s internal communications and collaboration infrastructure (for efficiency), and launching new Web 2.0 / social media technologies for the Senate (public participation). The new NYSenate.gov website, launched in May, has been heralded as a leading example of the use of “Web 2.0″ technologies by a legislature, inviting citizens to become creators of content on the site as well as consumers of content, and including interactive websites for every Senator and every Committee of the Senate. Mr. Hoppin was also elected by his peers to serve on the New York State CIO Leadership Council, and selected by GovTech as the 2010 New York State Public Sector CIO of the Year.

Jay Hartley, Taunton Press: Jay has a deep background in developing and supporting award winning, highly scalable consumer and business to business web sites across a variety of industries. Currently, he is leading the seamless transition of all Taunton's web sites from proprietary technologies into being fully Open Source solutions. The majority of Taunton's traffic is now supported by Drupal, PHP, Codeigniter and MySQL. Currently, Jay's focus is on spurring the adoption of Drupal in Enterprises worldwide. In particular, leveraging Enterprise development strategies and methodologies to provide cost effective, highly scalable Drupal sites, as well as a robust community of highly talented Drupal Professionals.

Jamie Clark, Zagat: Jamie Clark has been working at Zagat Survey for the last 10 years in roles from developer to Director of Technology. She was responsible for transitioning the team from .Net to Drupal. Prior to Zagat, Jamie was a developer in the law and financial sectors.

Sandra Mattiessen, VP/HR, Time Out New York: Sandra Matthiessen has over 20 years’ experience in human resources. She began her career in the hospitality industry where she worked for Hyatt Hotels and Crowne Plaza hotels. For the past 15 years, she has worked in media and entertainment and held senior positions at Universal Music, Conde Nast Publications, and Rodale. Most recently she launched a startup called Phorm – a behaviorally web advertising global company. Currently she is the VP/HR for Time Out North America. She has a BS from Cornell University, in Industrial and Labor Relations and a MS from Fordham in Organizational Development.

Kathleen Reidy, Senior Analyst, Enterprise Software: Kathleen covers the content management market, including enterprise content management (ECM), Web content management, records management and information governance technologies. Prior to joining The 451 Group, Kathleen spent several years as a marketing consultant and freelance writer, working for software vendors in the content management market and publications such as Portals Magazine, eContent Magazine and The Gilbane Report. Kathleen holds a Master's degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Rhode Island and a BA in History and Political Science from the University of Massachusetts.

Anna Murray, President e*media division, tmg-emedia: Anna's career is synonymous with the emergence of new media and the interactive space. After graduating from Summa Cum Laude from Yale, she taught English and drama, while working on her Masters degree in Journalism from Columbia University. There, her thesis won the James A. Weschler scholarship. Before founding e*media in 1996, Anna worked for NewsOne, the ABC News satellite feed service, and World News Tonight. Over the past ten years, Anna has gained national recognition as an Internet specialist for her ability to craft online programs for national and international companies. In 2004, e*media was acquired by the Technology Management Group to form tmg-e*media, inc. where she now serves as the President of the e*media division of the combined companies.

Jeff Walpole, CEO and Co-founder, Phase2 Technology: Jeff Walpole is the co-founder and CEO of the leading open source professional services firm in the Washington DC area, Phase2 Technology which focuses on clients and solutions in the online publishing, public policy, open government, and advocacy sectors. For the last nine years, Jeff has led this firm from inception to a bustling 40 person consultancy recognized as one of the most experienced and adept in the use of Drupal as a platform. Jeff has a background that includes over fifteen years in the software business including twelve in website and CMS development. Jeff holds a Masters in Business Administration, with a concentration in the Management of Global Information Technology, from the Kogod School of Business at American University and a Bachelors degree from Tulane University in Political Science.

Dries Buytaert, Acquia CTO and Co-founder: Dries is the original creator and project lead for the Drupal open source web publishing and collaboration platform. He serves as president of the Drupal Association, a non-profit organization formed to help Drupal flourish. Tom Erickson, Acquia, CEO: Tom started his career in open source in 1980 (really). Except that it was called public domain software, derivatives were completely legal and hosting in the cloud was provided in Seattle by Boeing. Joining Acquia in 2008 was a return to those values and concepts after almost 30 years of supporting the airline industry, helping enterprises around the world adopt new software technologies. Prior to Acquia, Tom was Chief Products Officer at map maker Tele Atlas. Before that, he was CEO of Systinet, a leading provider of SOA tools that was acquired by Mercury Interactive and subsequently Hewlett Packard. Tom has also held executive positions with webMethods, the Baan Company and Watermark Software in addition to his early days at MRO Software, known as Project Software and Development, Inc. in 1980.
